Pete Woodhouse

Pete is Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Sibly, with 30 years of experience as a developer and leader in technology organizations.
Pete started his career as a Software Engineer in Hewlett-Packard, moving into management roles and working at various companies in a number of countries. He has worked as an engineering leader or consultant at companies including H-P, Agilent Technologies, PRTM, Cisco, Microsoft, Intel, Samsung. Pete was at PayPal for seven years in various positions, including building PayPal’s Global Solutions Engineering team, scaling from 13 to 150 engineers and most recently as CTO of PayPal’s Credit Division, delivering products for consumer and merchant credit in a $1B division.
In addition to serving as Sibly’s CTO, Pete regularly advises and mentors engineering managers across various industries. He is a mentor for a number of startups in the Santa Clara University Miller Center for Global Social Entrepreneurship program.
He has a B.Sc. In Electronics Engineering from Plymouth University (UK) and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
In his spare time, Pete enjoys spending time with his family, goofing around with technology and racing large sailboats. He lives in San Jose with his wife Nousheen and daughter Sophia, who is in 3rd grade at FASSV.
